Dr. Patrice Juliet Pinder is a native of Nassau, Bahamas, and currently is a visiting Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) Education Researcher and STEM Team Leader in Research Development at the University of the West Indies’ (UWI’s) School of Education, Faculty of Humanities and Education, St. Augustine, Trinidad and Tobago. Recently, Dr. Pinder was selected to be the Untested Ideas Research Center’s new editor for the International Journal of Education and Culture (IJEC). Moreover, Dr. Pinder is a scholar/academic who has worked in several international institutions in the USA (Indiana University, Indianapolis, Indiana, & Morgan State University, Baltimore, Maryland), the Bahamas (The College of the Bahamas), and Trinidad and Tobago (currently). She has produced about 30 scholarly research products and currently serves as an external reviewer for some STEM dissertation students at Niagara University, New York.

Dr. Pinder’s research studies, which have been published in international journals and presented at international conferences focus on:
- Gamification of K-16 education
- STEM equity
- Social justice in education/education equity in general
- Cultural/ethnic differences influence/impact on Afro-Caribbean, African American, and African students’ learning patterns in STEM
STEM Team Manager
Dr. Vimala Judy Kamalodeen is a lecturer attached to the School of Education, UWI, St. Augustine campus. She holds a Doctorate in Education from the University of Sheffield, UK and her area of expertise is Information Technology/ Mathematics education. She is interested in online learning and how digital tools enable 21st Century Learning. She is heavily involved in professional development of teachers and conducts training to build ICT competencies among teachers at all levels. Dr. Kamalodeen uses mixed methods in her research and draws heavily from experience in the field- at secondary level as well as from Curriculum Design and Implementation from her stint at the Curriculum Planning and Development Division of the Ministry of Education, Trinidad and Tobago.

STEM Team Leader MathematicsSharon Jacqueline Jaggernauth is a holder of honours degrees from The University of the West Indies at the levels of Bachelor of the Arts (Mathematics), Postgraduate Diploma in Education (Mathematics), and Master of Education (Curriculum). She has completed the PhD (Education) degree at The University of the West Indies, and is awaiting her viva. Prior to her appointment as an Assistant Lecturer in Mathematics at the School of Education of The University of the West Indies, she was a secondary school mathematics teacher for 14 years. She currently lectures in Mathematics pedagogy and content, and numerical research methods in the Bachelor of Education, the Postgraduate Diploma in Education, and Master of Education programmes, using both face-to-face and online modes of delivery. She also possesses qualifications in Educational Testing and has been a registered test user with the British Psychological Association since 2012. She is an active member is several professional organizations in education, mathematics education, and psychology, including the American Educational Research Association (AERA), the National Council for Teachers of Mathematics (NCTM), the British Psychological Association (BPA), and The Dyslexia Association of Trinidad and Tobago. Her research interests include teacher education, mathematics education, STEM education, mathematics anxiety, inclusive education, and teacher efficacy.

STEM Team Leader Science
Dr Kalloo has been an educator for over 30 years. She began her career as an Integrated Science Teacher at Mucurapo Senior Comprehensive School where she taught for 6 years. She has worked as a Science Educator at Niherst. After completion of her Masters in Teacher Education she worked as a teacher educator at the Corinth and Valsayn Teachers’ colleges before becoming an Assistant Professor of Education at UTT in the B.Ed programme. She now holds the post of Lecturer in Education (Biology) at the University of the West Indies in St Augustine. She recently completed her Masters of Teaching in Conservation Science with the University of Miami in Ohio, and facilitated a series of inquiry based science education workshops in several OECS countries. Her special interest are science education, environmental science and conservation, innovative classroom practice, and peace-building discipline. She has worked extensively in communities throughout Trinidad and Tobago in the promotion of human rights and advocating to end all forms of violence against women and children.

STEM Technology SpecialistSandra Figaro-Henry is an Educational Technologist at the School of Education at UWI, St. Augustine. Her responsibilities include developing and conducting professional development workshops for staff at the School and teaching educational technology courses. With extensive interest and experience in blended and eLearning, ubiquitous and mobile learning, she continues to explore and publish on technology integration issues in higher education. She is a past OAS scholar, and holds an MSc. in Educational Technology from New York Institute of Technology. With over thirty years’ experience in education and teacher education, she is committed to preparing educators for teaching with technology in the 21st century
